Henkel 1342442 LOCTITE® Hysol® EA 934NA™ AERO Gray High-Temperature Epoxy Adhesive - Quart Kit
Henkel Loctite® Hysol® EA 934NA epoxy adhesive kit is a two-component thixotropic paste formula, containing part-A solid and part-B liquid. The gray colored part-A of epoxy adhesive has a slight odor and a 1.55 specific gravity. The amber colored part-B of epoxy adhesive has an ammoniacal odor and a 0.96 specific gravity. It has a boiling point of 207 degrees C and a flash point greater than 199.4 degrees F for part-A/B. This adhesive has a density of 1.52 grams per milliliter, greater than 1 for vapor or part-A and 0.96 grams per milliliter for part-B. It comes with a vapor pressure rating less than 1 millimeter Hg for part-B. This product has a viscosity of 3500 to 9000 poise for part-A and 10 to 30 poise for part-B. It takes a curing time of 5 to 7 days with a temperature rating of 77 to 200 degrees F. The adhesive ensures a tensile strength of 5800 psi at 77 degrees F and a shear strength of 3700 psi at 77 degrees F. It allows an elongation of 0.012 and has a compressive strength of 9500 psi as well as a tensile modulus of 550 ksi. This product comes in a 1-quart container and has a pot life of 40 to 50 minutes.

Hysol® EA 934NA™ cures at 25ºC / 77ºF, possesses superior strength of 149ºC / 300ºF. Ideal for potting, filling, fairing and shim applications.
Mixing - This product requires mixing two components together just prior to application to the parts to be bonded. Complete mixing is necessary. The temperature of the separate components prior to mixing is not critical, but should be close to room temperature (77°F/25°C).
Mix Ratio By Weight: Part A - 100 / Part B - 33
Pot Life (450 g mass) 40 minutes @ 77°F/25°C Method - ASTM D2471 in water bath.
Mixing - Combine Part A and Part B in the correct ratio and mix thoroughly. THIS IS IMPORTANT! Heat buildup during or after mixing is normal. Do not mix quantities greater than 1 pound as dangerous heat buildup can occur causing uncontrolled decomposition of the mixed adhesive. TOXIC FUMES CAN OCCUR, RESULTING IN PERSONAL INJURY. Mixing smaller quantities will minimize the heat buildup.
Applying - Bonding surfaces should be clean, dry and properly prepared. For optimum surface preparation consult the Hysol Surface Preparation Guide. The bonded parts should be held in contact until the adhesive is set. Handling strength for this adhesive will occur in 8 hours @ 77°F/25°C, after which the support tooling or pressure used during cure may be removed. (Alternates are: 20 minutes @ 140°F/60°C, or 1 minute @ 205°F/96°C.) Since full bond strength has not yet been attained, load application should be small at this time.
Curing - This adhesive may be cured for 5 to 7 days @ 77°F/25°C to achieve normal performance. Accelerated cures up to 200°F/93°C (for small masses only) may be used as an alternative. For example, 1 hour @ 200°F/93°C will give complete cure.
Cleanup - It is important to remove excess adhesive from the work area and application equipment before it hardens. Denatured alcohol and many common industrial solvents are suitable for removing uncured adhesive. Consult your supplier's information pertaining to the safe and proper use of solvents.
